Djibian + OpenPGP workshop

Take back control over your data with OpenPGP security keys

Foopgp has selected and developed a set of tools, integrated into a GNU/Linux operating system (Debian Blends) called Djibian .

Djibian is today the most secure mainstream operating system, and the one most respectful of your human singularity.

The workshop will let you give birth to your OpenPGP ID identity and get hands-on with Djibian and your security key OpenPGP , YubiKey or NitroKey.

OpenPGP tokens: 1 nitrokey, 2 yubikey, 1 unknown (pink)

Note that these keys then work across many applications on most other operating systems (Android, Windows, macOS, etc.).

This is how you will start to genuinely take back control over your data — data which otherwise enables foreign and unscrupulous corporations to control you.

Workshop objectives

Starting from a freshly installed Djibian GNU/Linux system, we will:

Create your OpenPGP ID identity.
Configure the YubiKey or NitroKey that will secure your singularity in the digital world.
Use this key to:
- Create your account on the Djibian system and authenticate to various services (SSH, Git).
- Use this same key from any remote Djibian machine without ever copying a private key onto it (see Djibian Agent Forwarding ).
- Sign your documents and emails .
- Encrypt and decrypt your documents and emails .
- Certify the people close to you and grow your web of trust .
- Verify signatures on documents or emails.
Bonus: check your accounts in djis (Ɉ) .

Install party

We provide a few refurbished computers running Djibian , which you can buy in euros (€) or in djis (Ɉ) .

If you have computers that are sluggish, buggy, or that spy on you (any Windows or macOS box, for example), we will help you disinfect them by installing Djibian on them. (Don’t forget to back up your data first.)
